Mark has been holding 2 day workshops here at The Studio @ Burlingham Hall for many years now.
This page aims to give you a flavour of what to expect.

And here's some work from the 2016 Mark Hearld workshop

This is how it works:

On day 1, under Mark's expert tuition, students make a fabulous portfolio of paste papers for use in their work. Messy but great fun and heaps of original papers are made to be dried overnight.
Then students start to create some initial works using materials that we and Mark provide, learning the basics of collage work.

On day 2, and again under Mark's tuition, students create their own unique and diverse final pieces.

Here are just a few of the final pieces created over the years along with examples of the interesting paste papers created during the workshops.
